Company history/background
Our company was founded 4 years ago and set out to create application for use in the offshore market.
We're two founders, one with an extensive track record in IT and the other is a Master Mariner with lots of experience in the offshore market.
Our product is succesful, has a substantial marketshare (19%). Idealy we would like to sell our platform (which is written in Ruby on Rails and EmberJS + Objective C) to someone who has the ability to make this grow further.
Potential growth markets are expanding the system for usage on offshore windfarms, or for other types of vessels.
Company activities
We provice a complete innovative paperless solution for managing a fleet of (crew) vessels both on-board and on-shore.
This solution consists or an ipad app and a web-based application. Both are designed and developed in house. The company has a number of clients, among which is the largest operator of crewvessels in the north sea region.
Unique selling points
Our product makes operations on board of (crew)vessels paperless. The combination of an ipad app and a web- based application gives fleet owners data processing abilities that don't exist with existing paper based workflows.
Our solutions consists of an ipad app which is used on board of the vessels to fill out forms. These forms are designed by the ship operator and consist of weather, crewing, technical and operational questions. Answers can be free form, dates, multiple choice and so on.
The answers are stored until the vessel is withing 4G coverage range and are then transported to our servers.
The web application gives complete data insight with regards to technical, operational and crewing data. In one view vessel performance, planning, engine data and so on can be viewed.
The application is used by among others the largest operator of crewvessels in the north-sea region.

Our reason for selling the company is that we feel that we currently lack the resources to give this product the attention and growth that it deserves, especially in the sales- and marketing department. Current contract value is around EUR 600.000,- with a 65% margin.
