Company history/background
A unique market and competitive position, and partly due to this, a unique opportunity for two or three younger colleagues to (increase knowledge and skills under supervision if desired) run their own generalist and/or specialist practice together, now or later, in the form of a partnership or, for example, their own generalist and/or specialist 'business'. The owner/practice manager, a clinical psychologist-psychotherapist/Child and Adolescent Psychologist-specialist, aged 68, registered until 2031, nevertheless wishes to be able to look forward to his retirement.
The practice is HKZ KO-certified, possesses up-to-date EHR and ICT facilities, time- and cost-saving reporting and scoring templates for various relevant tests and questionnaires, an extensive library and test library, and a sound archive (both physical and digital). For those interested, the archive offers sufficient psychometric data—primarily on children and adolescents—with consent to build a dissertation.
Company activities
The practice offers specialized diagnostics and psychological or psychotherapeutic treatment to children and adolescents, and provides guidance to their parents/caregivers in cases of suspected or present child psychiatric or developmental issues. The focus is primarily on cognitive behavioral therapy and systemic therapy. Training and guidance are provided in the areas of social skills, emotion regulation, and executive functions. The 'Een Taal Erbij' and 'Kracht op de Kaart' methodologies are utilized where appropriate. In previous years, reimbursed dyslexia care and adult mental health services were also offered. Next year, the practice will celebrate its 25th anniversary.
General practitioners, youth doctors, psychiatrists, medical specialists, and the Access Point can refer patients for Specialized Mental Healthcare. Due to the Youth Act, the principle of place of residence applies; the practice has made a pragmatic choice in this regard that works well.
Unique selling points
A stable referral network, a good reputation, and a high client satisfaction score (www.zorgkaartnederland.nl: 9.0) offer good professional(s) assured work and a generous, above-average income, significantly more than in a franchise structure or as an employee; revenue and operating results have remained stable in recent years. The average annual EBITDA is between 500K and €1M (4.6 FTE). Your professional autonomy is no longer determined by management – which is also worth something.
The inventory and practice rooms (190 + 33 m²) together form a pleasant, well-equipped, and friendly working environment—neither too big nor too small. A shared elevator, AED, and disabled toilet are available. The location is easily accessible and has ample parking facilities.
A transitional phase of a maximum of 3-5 years is a possibility before having to enter into own care contracts for youth care (municipalities) and/or adult care (health insurers) or conclude agreements.
Other
The practice offers its three employees opportunities for further development through continuing education and training. As a result, professional registrations have since been obtained. The employees benefit from a practice car. At this stage of their lives, taking over the practice does not appear to fit into their schedule for the time being. It is likely that, after years of loyal service, they will prefer employment closer to home in the near future.
Financial and legal support and advice are available if desired, alongside, of course, psychological and psychotherapeutic services. You are therefore not immediately thrown in at the deep end and do not have to know or be able to do 'everything' right away.
And last but not least: a beautiful, often quiet and natural environment makes living in this region pleasant for many – both the supply and the prices can certainly be described as competitive. Traffic congestion, as elsewhere in the country, is absent, meaning the commute can be larger if desired.
