Company history/background
This hotel and conference facility is beautifully located by Sommen (Sweden). The original building was constructed in 1815 and demolished in 1930. In 1947, a carpentry workshop was built on the site, and operations continued there until 1990. Seven years later, it was converted into a hotel and restaurant.
The current owner acquired the property, including the company, and has operated conference and restaurant services since 2004. The owner is now planning for retirement and has therefore decided to sell the shares in the Company.
Company activities
The vision is to create an optimal guest experience in a beautiful lakeside environment. With a business idea to offer a smaller facility for conferences and kick-offs for groups who wish to be private. The customer groups can be divided into companies, the public sector and private individuals. The three business areas are hotel, conference, and restaurant. The facility currently has a total of 48 beds distributed over 13 rooms and 7 detached cabins.
Unique selling points
The brand is well-established and known in the region. Marketing primarily takes place through social media, with less focus on local press. The company's success factors are to offer a fantastic beautiful environment with a local approach and high quality. All operations are centralized in one building (except for the sauna by the lake and cabin accommodation).
Other
The owner has operated the business as a purely family-run company, based on a strong interest in the property and its history. Investments have been made over the years, and the condition of the property is good. The owner therefore intends to seek a new strategic home for the next phase of the Company’s development and is willing to participate in the operations for a period of time if a buyer so wishes.
