Thermotherapie in eerste instantie voor hoofd en halskanker. De therapie versterkt bestaande kankerbehandeling (radio- en chemo therapie). Ook toepasbaar op borstkanker, huidkanker en weke delen kanker. Therapie is ontwikkeld door Erasmus Medisch Centrum.  

Company activities

Bedrijf ontwikkelt de FocusCollar, een machine om tumor(en) in het hoofd en de hals nauwkeurig te verwarmen voor een effectieve behandeling van radio- en chemo therapie. Hierbij maakt ze gebruik van exclusieve patenten van het Erasmus Medisch Centrum. Het EMC is van oudsher het centrum van expertise van dergelijke thermo therapie. Het team en het netwerk bestaat uit experts. Tot 2025 zijn er met name R&D activiteiten.

Ontwikkelfase: prototype in klinische studie met goede resultaten. In 2025 start de verkoop.

De volgende financieringsronde bedraagt € 18 mio waar € 8 mio is toegezegd. Deze ronde vormt een tussenronde om de aanvullende € 10 mio gefinancierd te krijgen.
